Step-by-Step Instructions for Account Deletion

Your account can be permanently removed via Starter Town's in-app options. Please be advised that this action is irreversible, and we are unable to restore your account once the deletion process has been executed, even in instances of accidental removal.

1. Open Starter Town mobile application. 2. Navigate to the left panel menu. 3. Choose "Delete Account" located at the bottom of the left panel menu. 4. Input the reason as to why you are deleting your account. 5. Make sure to check the box to confirm that you understand the consequences of deleting your account. 6. Click "Delete Account" to confirm your decision.

Upon receiving your deletion request, Starter Town will initiate a process to permanently remove your account and all associated data from our systems. This includes messages, media, contacts, and any other information you've stored with us. However, it's crucial to note that if you only uninstall Starter Town from your device without utilizing our in-app 'delete my account' feature, your information may be retained for an extended period. Here's what you need to know about the deletion process:

Irreversible Process: Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to regain access. All your data will be permanently removed, and you cannot recover any information after the deletion is complete.

Deletion Timeline: The complete deletion of your information from our systems may take up to 30 days from the start of the deletion process. During this period, your information will not be accessible to you.

Storage: Copies of your information may remain in our backup storage beyond the 30 days, used solely for the purpose of recovery in the event of a disaster, software error, or other data loss event. However, this information will not be accessible to you or others on Starter Town.

Groups and Messages to Others: Deleting your account does not remove the information related to any groups you have created or affect the information other users have about you, such as copies of messages you sent them.

Data Retention: We may retain certain log data in our databases even after your account is deleted. This data will be disassociated from any identifying information, ensuring it cannot be linked back to your account. We accomplish this by replacing any instance of your account ID with a replacement identifier that cannot be linked back to your account once it is deleted. This measure is taken to protect your privacy while allowing Starter Town to use de-identified data for analytical and operational purposes.

Legal and Harm Prevention Retention: In some cases, we may keep your information for legal reasons, terms violations, or harm prevention efforts. This retention is strictly for purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy and is compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

In certain cases, we may need to retain specific data for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance.
